Guzmán Global makes a positive assessment following the first edition of ChemPlast Expo 2018
On 6-8 November, the big industry event for the chemical and plastics sectors was held at the IFEMA trade fair centre in Madrid.
After attending this first edition, Guzmán Global made a very positive assessment as it exceeded the company’s expectations of the event.
The chemical and plastic transformation sector supports the new platform
According to figures from the organization itself, the event brought together more than 8,000 trade professionals from the different industries of packaging, motor vehicles, electronics, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and aeronautics, among others.
In addition, a large number of business organizations gave their support to this new platform, which aims to generate new business as well as adding value in the form of knowledge-sharing thanks to the Congress of Applied Chemistry and Industry 4.0, the European Congress of Plastics Engineering and the eighth edition of the National Congress of Chemical Distribution, organized by the Spanish Chemical Trade Association.

Guzmán Global’s presence at ChemPlast Expo 2018 proved to be an excellent opportunity to meet up with clients and suppliers in the ideal venue for presenting the latest products from the main brands the company represents on the international market, such as Sabic, Solvay, LG Chem, Hanwha Total, Evonik, Domo, Ducor, Ampacet and Chem Trend, among others.
As well as attending as an Event Partner and sharing a stand with its Portuguese partners, AGI-Augusto Guimarães Irmao, Guzmán Global also attended the European Congress of Plastics Engineering to discuss additive manufacturing with Sabic, the world leader in the supply of thermoplastics for engineering. The presentation given by Jordi de Tera, the sales manager of SABIC SPECIALTIES in Spain, was very successful, to a packed room of delegates interested in discovering the latest trends in Fused Deposition Modeling and Large Format Additive Manufacturing techniques.
Meanwhile, as part of the bilateral Spain-Turkey meetings held at the same trade fair venue, Guzmán Global, as a company operating in Turkey, shared its experiences of implementation and growth in the region at one of the conferences, highlighting the opportunities for plastics companies in a country that is the world’s second biggest net importer of petrochemicals.
